Let's assume you really want to be a friend to someone. You desire the "capacity to draw near." Presented here are five suggested steps to be taken in the development of relationship - five steps which will lead to an effective personal witness for Christ in your daily life.
“Andrew then went to find his brother ..and he brought him to meet Jesus.” John 1:41-42.
Andrew was a person who specialized in bringing people to Jesus! He was never known as a great teacher, preacher or scholar but rather an obscure disciple. He was referred to as "Simon Peter's brother." But it was Andrew who brought Peter to Jesus.
is a simple, five step plan designed to help Christians reach out to people they know who need Jesus Christ. By participating in Operation Andrew, you can make a difference for Christ in your community.
1. Look Around for your mission field-it is right where you live, work or go to school. List the names of individuals you know who need Jesus Christ, who you will pray for regularly.
2. Look Up because God changes people through prayer. Pray each day for those on your list that God will give you opportunities to share His love with them.
3. Look Out for ways to cultivate friendships with each person on your list and earn their confidence. Spend time with them. An invitation to dinner or a special event will build friendships which can open the way to talk about Chirst.
4. Look Forward by beginning to talk with each person on your list about attending the conference with you. Choose a specific date, pray and invite them.
5. Look After those who respond to Christ or even begin to show interest in the Gospel, for they need encouragement. Continue to live and pray for those who do not respond.
