Dead To Sin and Alive in Christ

The Joyce Meyer Ministries Counseling Center receives phone calls and prayer requests every single day, and an interesting testimony recently came to us from Vijay* in Uttar Pradesh.

Vijay enjoys watching Joyce’s daily telecast Enjoying Everyday Life. Through the broadcast, he has been in constant touch with the counselors about his many prayer needs. In one of his talks with a counselor, Vijay revealed that he was facing problems in retrieving a large sum of money that he lent to a group of people. He also told them about his addiction to chewing tobacco.

The counselor encouraged him and asked him not to give up but to continue praying that his money would come back to him. Wanting all God’s children to live a healthy life, the counselors guided Vijay to denounce his addictions and concentrate on praying and reading his Bible.

A few days later Vijay called back sounding ever so ecstatic! He called to tell his counselors how God helped him to completely quit chewing tobacco. And as soon as he quit this habit, the people who borrowed money from him paid him back the full amount they owed. Vijay had really found peace through praying and seeking God. Today he is free from worldly sin and enjoying his life in God's blessings.
