After many months of preparation for our Festival of Life activities in Papua New Guinea, we were thrilled and honored to be there. The wonderful people of Papua New Guinea are truly enthusiastic and grateful. A woman told with tears in her eyes how much it means to her that after years of watching her on TV, Joyce would fly half way around the world to be here. She said, “This shows me that the love of God she talks about is genuine.”

The people of Papua New Guinea speak over 800 separate languages. We were able to visit many of the areas where these people live. From North to South and East to West, we sent teams all over this country to minister. Above is a picture of Joyce taken when we visited a very remote village where neither electricity nor currency are used. They gave us a very warm welcome and we gave them Jesus!

We completed one of the best weeks of ministry in our history. Papua New Guinea was ripe for all things “Jesus”.  Conservative estimates are that over 1 million people attended the festival meetings in the 2 cities of Mt. Hagen & Port Moresby. Our medical teams treated over 4,500 people. In addition, every prison in the country was visited, 3 churches were built, 3 fresh water wells were dug, 2 million pieces of literature were distributed, 2 medical wings built, and almost 10,000 leaders trained. Thanks to Hillsong, Go Global, MAF, JMM staff, and all the many churches and volunteers! All Glory to Jesus!!!
