Each day,a different way

As we tour around in Mumbai, we are witnessing Joyce Meyer Ministries reaching out to the hopeless and hurting, right where they are, through different ways, showing the love of God. On Thursday, we saw the mad rush of hundreds of people with families and children, crowding in our medical camp at Ghatkopar.
Around 1000 patients are being catered to every day in these camps which will be held in three more locations over the next three days. Joyce and Dave Meyer were overwhelmed seeing the need of people in that area. A total of 18 doctors and nurses including pediatricians, ENT specialist, gynecologist, dentists and general physicians from India, US and Belgium are helping out in the medical camp.

Most cases were that of highblood pressure, diabetes and general weakness. The children had a fun time in a special ongoing kids program carried out by Alecia Shannon, an energetic leader who got them involved in different games. The children were kept busy so that the parents could also have individual medical attention from the doctors in the camp.

The camp was very well organised with separate child and adult treatment stalls lined up systematically. All patiens were given upto three medications free. Just before they receive their medicines, they have to pass through the Ministry tent, where the gospel was being shared. An unbelievable 310 people raised their hands to accept Christ and made the salvation prayer along with the local pastor on just Thursday.
