The Transformation Center in Mumbai is a home for change: Change of environment, change of lifestyle, change of heart. |

The initial change of environment would bring change to anyone’s life. Most of the children and mothers at the transformation center came from such extremely impoverished conditions at the Bhandup Sonapur slum that when they arrive at the transformation center they are overwhelmed. |

The Transformation campus is surrounded with lush greenery and fruit trees. It is a comfortable home like nothing the children and their mother’s have ever experienced before. It is designed to bring change in the hearts and minds of every individual that comes through its doors. We want every individual to know they are cherished, valued and loved. |

| The center is filled with children and women who are starting life anew. More will come as the program grows. As our program is holistic in nature, both women and children are being educated. The children are attending school and travel by auto everyday. Both the mothers and children are |

attending vocational skill training like tailoring, drawing, painting, singing, and gardening. |
|
In addition, the children are flourishing with the various playground activities. Often they enjoy outdoor games like cricket, volleyball and badminton. When it’s necessary to play inside, they enjoy Carom, chess, cross word puzzles, etc. There is even a television so the children can watch their favorite program in the evening.

The Mothers at the transformation center are counseled by our Social Worker. The Social Worker helps the mothers to process past problems and talk about their concerns. Any one knows that change doesn’t happen overnight, but in the right environment, change can happen in the most important place: one’s heart. |
We trust that as we continue to offer hope to the women and children of the transformation center we will provide a secure and self-reliant future for the mothers and their children at high risk and bring them back into the mainstream of society. We are confident that the love of Christ will make the ultimate change in their lives. |
