A Very Present Help
Every time Suganthi* goes to church, she is alone. Her family members – including her husband Venkatesh* – do not share her commitment to Christ and this sometimes makes Suganthi live out her faith in solitude. Her church fellowship keeps her strong but at home she depends on Joyce Meyer's Enjoying Everyday Life program to fill her with messages of perseverance.
Suganthi was praying for her husband's job and they were thrilled when he finally got an offer from a company in another country. Excited that Venkatesh finally got his big break, Suganthi continued praying for him even after he left India but her spirits soon sank when she heard he was arrested for alleged involvement in a crime that took place.
Afraid and deeply worried, Suganthi didn't know what to do. When she was praying at home one morning, she heard Joyce Meyer speaking on television – in Tamil. Turning up the volume, she listened to Joyce teaching on believing in God, despite the odds. She began praying for Venkatesh, believing that his innocence would soon be proven.
In a few days, Venkatesh called Suganthi to tell her that he was released from prison – all charges dropped. Suganthi thanked God and together they never fail to remember how their outlook on a difficult situation changed because of the Enjoying Everyday Life broadcast and the positive messages it spoke into Suganthi's heart.
