In Times like These …
A father of 6 children, Kuy Pich (62) is a victim of domestic violence. In a fit of rage, his step daughter spilled acid on his face. He had been a hard working farmer trying his best to provide for his family. He and his wife together farmed in their own land. An altercation with his step-daughter made him bed ridden, bruised and blind!
The gruesome incident that took place in the year 2000, forced the family to sell their land and oxen to get Pich treated in a hospital. With chronic disabilities and surmounting aches, itches and palpitations, Pich was brought to the Hand of Hope Health center as he was not in a financial position to get treated at any other medical establishment. At the center, Pich was treated for his condition and ailments free of charge. By the grace of God he is doing well and has returned home to his family.
The Hand of Hope Medical Center in Pursat is indeed a mighty blessing in the poverty-stricken nation of Cambodia.
