Justice and Praise – My Embrace
As a family, we are regular viewers of Joyce Meyer’s Enjoying Everyday Life and are very much encouraged by her messages.
I completed my training in the medical / nursing sector and was desperately searching for a job as my father who works as a watchman was unable to meet the expenses of the family. With a meager salary, he got into debts that surmounted as days passed.
Meanwhile, I applied for a post at a renowned hospital in Gulbarga and called up the Joyce Meyer Ministries Call Center requesting for prayer to help land the job. On the day of my interview, I was very nervous as many applicants were applying for the job. The JMM Counselors encouraged me, asking me to put my faith in God and prayed for my success in the interview. The very next day I rang up the JMM office and proclaimed God’s goodness through the new job.
A few weeks later, I called the counselors and shared with great distress the state my father’s wrongful accusation by his employer.
His manager accused him of a mobile phone robbery and threatened to dismiss him from the service if he failed to return it by the next day. Even though my father pleaded innocence, the manager failed to budge. This devastated our entire family. The Counselors at JMM prayed and encouraged me once again, reinforcing me to believe that God is just and would not allow any injustice to his people if they called on His name.
The next day, during my father’s interrogation, a young man who was freshly appointed as a security personnel, confessed to the crime and returned the mobile phone. He also told them that he was restlessly gripped by a fear that compelled him to speak the truth.
As a family we were relieved of the anxiety and thank God for the deliverance that has led to the strengthening of our faith in Christ.
