Seeking Joy in the Lord

India, a developing nation at an abnormally quick pace, still is the home for certain social evils like domestic violence. The victims are not necessarily women or girls. Eighteen year old Prasad hailing from Trivandrum had been a prey to domestic violence by his brother who tortured him abusing physically and verbally; this forced Prasad to believe that nobody loves him.

Prasad began to feel lonely and was vexed to a great extent and began to contemplate suicide. However, the teachings from Enjoying Everyday Life by Joyce Meyer that Prasad has been an everyday audience of, had prompted him to quit from such dreadful thoughts. He strongly felt in his heart to seek guidance from the Joyce Meyer Ministries Call Center Counselors. The counseling he received from the staff was greatly encouraging.

Since then, he has been interacting with the Joyce Meyer Ministries counseling staff as often as possible. The counseling has helped him come out of depression and change his notion that nobody loves him. The counseling staff affirmed Prasad in believing that Jesus loves him above all.

Now, Prasad is a changed man who seeks his joy in the Lord alone. The circumstances around don’t matter to him anymore. He’s now determined to live for God realizing that HE has a great plan for his life.
